The recent Derby della Madonnina became an incredibly bad-tempered affair and there was a sizable argument between AC Milan’s Yacine Adli and Inters Lautaro Martinez.

The latter stages of the 2-1 defeat at San Siro saw three players receive straight red cards. An altercation prompted by Rafael Leao and Davide Frattesi led to Denzel Dumfries and Theo Hernandez showing enough physical aggression that the referee sent them both off.

Soon after, Davide Calabria lost his cool and swung an arm at Frattesi in the box whilst Milan were preparing for a corner. These red cards have given Milan a problem for their next match against Juventus.

A special DAZN camera managed to capture some of the skirmishes and there was a particularly aggressive moment between Adli and Lautaro who both play with their hearts on their sleeves.

The incident was actually only nine minutes into the game, so it perhaps set the tone. After Nicolo Barella was fouled by Hernandez, Adli tried to make the Italian get up. That led multiple players to get involved, and then Lautaro could be seen shouting to Adli: “Who the f**k are you? What the f**k are you talking about?”
