Adil Rami completes ESTAC Troyes medical, Simon Deli in talks to follow

35-year-old World Cup winner Adil Rami is returning to Ligue 1 in the form of a free transfer to newly promoted side ESTAC Troyes, as reported by Le Parisien and Goal France.

Rami has passed his medical and will shortly put pen to paper on a 1-year contract with an option to extend for a further 12 months.

ESTAC Troyes have also made positive advances today in their pursuit of an additional defender, Simon Deli.

The 29-year-old Club Brugge Ivorian central defender was lukewarm about the move but some breakthroughs have occurred today that are giving ESTAC renewed confidence about tying up a deal.
