With the group stage draw for the 2022/23 Champions League coming up later on Thursday, Uefa have unveiled the new Adidas match ball that will be used in the competition this season.
Adidas say the vibrant star design is “inspired by the absence of light in space and how the stars shine out against the dark void”, and who are we to disagree?

And for the first time ever, the Uefa Women’s Champions League will also be using its own unique match ball.
