Within minutes of the final whistle of the 2021/22 Bundesliga season, Borussia Mönchengladbach announced that coach Adi Hütter has left the club by mutual consent.
Gladbach finished the campaign with a 5-1 victory over Hoffenheim which meant they finished 10th in the table.
But a short statement released via the club’s official website shortly after full-time confirmed Hütter’s departure.
“We agree that this decision is the right one for both sides,” said the club’s sporting director Roland Virkus.
“Our task now is to draw conclusions from the processing of the season and to initiate the appropriate measures in order to start preparing for the new season in a new constellation at the end of June.”
