Adi Hütter calls for AS Monaco to be ‘brave’ against Barcelona | OneFootball

Like Barcelona, AS Monaco have begun the new league season brightly, only dropping points against RC Lens. With three victories, they sit third in Ligue 1, behind only reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille.

It is a record that they have obtained through an expansive, attack-minded style of play. Against a team in such hot form as Barcelona, it would be understandable if the Principality club reigned in their ambitious play style. However, that will not be the case. “It is not easy to defend Barcelona. I want to see my team be brave against Barcelona,” said Hütter, in a press conference attended by Get Football.

“We have [to keep our attacking style].It’s obvious that Barcelona are in top form. Going forward, we will have to do that which we know what to do,” added Monaco captain Denis Zakaria. There is no question of Les Monégasques sitting deep and playing for a draw, it seems.
