Ademola Lookman is one of Englandโ€™s brightest young prospects.

The 21-year-old went on loan to Red Bull Leipzig for the second half of last season and set the Bundesliga ablaze by scoring five goals and contributing three assists in just 11 matches.

Despite only starting once for Everton this season, Lookman insists that his relationship with manager Marco Silva couldnโ€™t be better.

โ€œIt gives me great confidence that the manager has that faith in me and I hope I can repay it,โ€ Lookman told Evertonโ€™s official programme.

โ€œHe gives me the licence to express myself and that allows me to feel free.

โ€œHe wants me to score more goals and get more assists and to always be available, to always be in space and consistently be a threat to the other team. And the support of the fans gives me more confidence to play my football and show what I can do.

โ€œI always give everything I have on the training pitch.

โ€œNothing has changed. Not my character, my belief, my ambitions or my work ethic. None of it has changed.โ€

Despite having some difficulty adjusting to his new surroundings last term in Germany, Lookman believes he accomplished all his goals while on loan.

โ€œMy main objective was to play football and to keep on playing. I went over there and did that.

โ€œIt was a bit โ€“ I wouldnโ€™t say daunting โ€“ but it was a new environment, It happened so quickly so I got there and realised, โ€˜Wow, I am actually in Germany.โ€™

โ€œIt was exciting and challenging. It is a different environment, different people and a different language. It took me out of my comfort zone, and you learn a lot when you are out of your comfort zone.

โ€œWe played a 4-2-2-2 system. I was on the left of two number 10s.

โ€œA lot of teams over there play counter-attacking football but otherwise the game is not greatly different from the Premier League.

โ€œI reached my target, which was to play games and score goals.โ€

Lookman admits he talks to every single Everton player in the hopes of becoming the best footballer he can possibly be.

โ€œMy ambition is to play at the top. To be at the very top of the top in football. Those ambitions feel attainable. But it takes a lot of hard work.

โ€œI talk to all the players about football. If you can get different ideas and views from other people you can learn a lot more.

โ€œAnd playing with good players always improves your game. We are all helping each other here.

โ€œEverybody wants to progress. It is definitely what I wantโ€ฆto progress and keep on striving for more.โ€
