Adamu receives heavy suspension

SC Freiburg will be without Junior Adamu for their next three Bundesliga games.

The German Football Association announced on Monday that the striker has been handed a three-match ban after seeing red against Borussia Dortmund.

After coming on as a substitute, Adamu was shown a straight red card in stoppage time for an offence against Waldemar Anton.

The ban means that Adamu won't be available in the league until 21 December against Bayer Leverkusen.

However, as the ban only applies to the league, he will be able to play in the DFB-Pokal against Armina Bielefeld on 3 December.
