We have several players this season that can claim to bee our most valuable player. Joe Hart who has been a figure of experience on and off the park, James Forrest in the last few weeks can lay claim to that also.

Cameron Carter-Vickers whose presence at the back not only makes us stronger, but also those around him. Liam Scales who has played an important part despite being deemed surplus to requirements last summer.

PFA Scotland premiership player of the year nominee Matt O’Riley whose goals and assists who have been of great importance to us. Daizen Maeda who as we know never stops in his efforts for the team.

Even the much below par Kyogo has contributed by scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in the league this campaign. A couple of those goals coming in Glasgow Derby games that have proved ever so crucial.

The guile and craft of Reo Hatate these past few weeks have showed how much we missed him for a chunk of the season due to injury. Luis Palma who has provided an impressive 15 goal contributions in only 24 league appearances.

But one man who might be overlooked is Adam Idah. The Irishman was of course brought in as a last minute loan in the January transfer window from Norwich, amid some criticism, but he’s more than played his part.

Adam has scored seven goals and provided two assists in just 11 league appearances. More impressively is that most of those appearances have came from the bench. A chunk of those goals have proved to be ever so important in our title challenge. His brace from the penalty spot against Hibs, the second which was took under extreme pressure in added time to win us a vital three points.

His brace against Motherwell at Fir Park which turned a defeat into victory. His goal at Ibrox which looked like being the winner, but ultimately earned us a draw in the end.

That’s five points earned that wouldn’t have been possible without Adams goals. Five very important points that could prove ever so vital in the destination of the title. Adam has more than played his part, and will be due a big pat on the back if we lift that trophy in a few weeks time.
