Nottingham Forest have emerged as an interested party in Norwich City striker Adam Idah, as per a report from The Sun.

The 20-year-old has featured 10 times in the Premier League thus far but has accumulated a mere 141 minutes of football.

Born in Cork, Norwich secured the services of the front man in 2017, before he made his first-team debut in 2019.

What do we know so far?

The report states that the Canaries believe that the 20-year-old would benefit more with some minutes in the Championship, as opposed to limited game time in England’s top tier.

Idah was deployed from the very start against Tottenham Hotspur yesterday, so it remains to be seen if Norwich may have reversed their decision regarding his future.

The Sun’s report does state that Norwich are considering recalling Jordan Hugill in January, which will allow the Canaries to temporarily offload the young forward instead.

Is it likely to happen?

The ceiling is very high for Idah, and despite being around the first-team set up for over two years now, it is easy to forget that he is just 20.

Idah needs consistent game time in the Championship now, and if Forest are able to offer that, then this would be a good move for Idah’s progression and Norwich too.

The 20-year-old’s athleticism and willingness to run in behind would suit the energetic frontline that Forest already possess.

Idah would also prove to be a completely different option to what the Midlands club already possess, which would be excellent for Steve Cooper.

If Forest do not add other attacking options during January, then a move for Idah would be smart for all parties involved.
