The Lazio defender touched on the performance and growth of the defence so far under coach Maurizio Sarri.

When we make mistakes, we discover ourselves. We still need to improve, but we’re doing well. We will always try to keep our goal unscathed.

Finally, Acerbi discussed the upcoming match against Napoli on Sunday.

Now we have to rest and be focused. They will be more rested, but let’s not look for excuses. We have to play it with our qualities and going with the desire to get a result.

No Press Conference for Sarri Following Lazio’s 3-0 Win Over Lokomotiv Moscow

The 33-year-old Acerbi, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1426 minutes. In that time, he has provided two assists and helped the side keep five clean sheets, adapting well to coach  Sarri’s system.

It’s not all been positive for Acerbi so far this campaign, however. He was clearly frustrated in the Biancocelesti’s 3-0 loss to Bologna last month and picked up a red card after a furious exchange with the referee.
