AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still positive for COVID-19 ahead of the upcoming Derby della Madonnina against Inter according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short while ago.

Ibrahimovic is not the only AC Milan player to have returned a positive test result in the most recent round of testing with AC Milan central defender Leo Duarte also having tested positive.

Given the positive tests, AC Milan are at risk of having to do without both the Swedish striker and Brazilian defender to take on their city rivals.

AC Milan are not alone in having players to have tested positive for COVID-19 with two Inter players in Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar both also having tested positive.

This season’s first Milan derby is due to be contested between the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri on Saturday October 17 at San Siro with Inter being the designated home side for the match.
