Earlier today, the FIGC presented the official calendar for the upcoming Serie A Femminile on Sky Italia. The schedule was made through random draws.
AC Milan will play their first match of the season on August 23rd against Florentia.
The Rossonere’s schedule for the season is as follows, with return leg fixtures on the right and to be played in 2021:
August 23rd / January 24th: Milan vs Florentia
August 30th / February 7th: San Marino vs Milan
September 6th / February 28th: Milan vs Bari
October 4th / March 7th: Milan vs Juventus
October 11th / March 21st: Empoli vs Milan
October 18th / March 28th: Milan vs Inter
November 8th / April 18th: Napoli vs Milan
November 15th / May 2nd: Milan vs Roma
December 6th / May 9th: Fiorentina vs Milan
December 13th / May 16th: Milan vs Sassuolo
January 17th / May 23rd: Hellas Verona vs Milan
Of particular note are the games against Juventus, as the FIGC have noted that it’s the season’s first big match. The match will be a combustible affair between two of the peninsula’s strongest teams (as well as the teams with the two biggest and most passionate fanbases).
Milan will face Fiorentina on December 6th and May 9th (2021). The matches will be crucial, as the winners of them will have an advantage in qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
The Rossonere have spent the summer building a squad that will meet their main objective, which is to qualify for Europe. They are also not done reinforcing the squad, as they plan to bring in two more reinforcements. The rumors are that one of them might be from the United States (however, one must also take this report with a huge grain of salt).
In the meanwhile, Milan will continue their preparations for the upcoming season. And with their schedule laid out for them, they’ll better be able to prepare for what challenges will lie ahead and meet them head-on.
