After the Champions League, we return to Serie A action. AC Milan is set to face Empoli in the 14th round, scheduled for November 30 at 18:00 at San Siro. As the league intensifies, every point becomes crucial to keep pace with the top teams. Mister Fonseca's side are ready to give their all, while Roberto D'Aversa's side are looking to cause an upset. We approach kick-off with our Match Preview.
LATEST FROM MILANELLO AC Milan come into this match following a goalless draw against Juventus in Serie A. Against the Bianconeri, the Rossoneri showed defensive solidity but are looking to find the back of the net again after two goalless league matches. In the Champions League, AC Milan secured an important victory against Slovan Bratislava, demonstrating their ability to compete on multiple fronts. Coach Fonseca's team is determined to return to winning ways in Serie A and improve their league position, leveraging the home advantage at San Siro. Unlike in Bratislava, Morata will be available. Fofana is one card away from a booking though.
Coach Fonseca in his pre-match press conference: "Tough game against Empoli; they don't sit back and are aggressive. We'll need to put in a big-game performance. We want balance; solid at the back so that we can attack with confidence".
LATEST FROM EMPOLI Empoli have had a very good league campaign so far, and come into the clash at San Siro after a 1-1 draw against Udinese in the league. Roberto D'Aversa's team has shown good defensive organisation but are looking to enhance their offensive effectiveness. With the draw at home to the Friulani, they are now three games unbeaten: after a 1-1 draw away to Lecce and the 1-0 win over Como. Empoli have proved to be a tough team to beat. No one is suspended, but they will need to assess the conditions of a few players - like Fazzini - while Colombo could be included up front.
"We need to come away from San Siro with something to show," D'Aversa said. "We have to be determined and focused, positive and full of personality. On paper, AC Milan are the stronger side but we need to be brave."
