AC Milan to complete deal for Diego Laxalt 'within 48 hours'

AC Milan have reportedly reached an agreement with Genoa for Diego Laxalt.

According to Sky Italia, the fee is in the region of €14m plus a further €4m in potential add-ons and bonuses.

Laxalt impressed for Uruguay at the World Cup this summer, turning heads with his counter-attacking play and tenacious work rate. He was used as a left-back during the tournament but has featured more regularly as a left-sided midfielder in Serie A.

The 25-year-old attracted interest Sporting, Lazio, Zenit St. Petersburg and Crystal Palace but looks set to play his football at San Siro.

Laxalt is expected to arrive in Milan on Wednesday ahead of his medical tests which will take place on Thursday. A deal should be finalised within 48 hours.
