Almoez Ali helped Qatar do the unthinkable and led them to the Asian Cup title, defeating Japan 3-1 in the final as they outscored their opponents 19-1 over a seven-game span.
Ali led the Asian Cup with an astonishing nine goals, five more than anyone else in the tournament.
In fact, he was so impressive, that Lionel Messi sent him an autographed kit to congratulate him on a spectacular performance.
Now, some of Europe’s best are after the Al-Duhail striker.
According to La Repubblica, AC Milan have sent scouts out to Qatar to track the 22-year-old, who already has 38 caps and 19 international goals to his name.
Though currently playing in the Middle East, Ali has played in Europe before – previously featuring for Austria’s LASK Linz and Spain’s Cultural Leonesa.
