Dani Ceballos has had an inconsistent role at Real Madrid, alternating between standout performances and long spells on the bench.
This lack of continuity has led him to consider other options in search of more playing time. The 28-year-old came close to leaving the club in the summer but eventually ended up staying put.
However, come January, there could be movements again with the Spaniard once again attracting interest.
One of the most interested parties, as reported already, are Real Betis, the club where Ceballos developed and made his professional breakthrough. Having failed to sign him in the summer, the La Liga club are weighing up a January swoop.

However, now, according to Fichajes, AC Milan have also entered the race to sign Ceballos from Real Madrid in January and their interest could complicate Real Betis’ plans.
The Italian club, aiming to compete for the Scudetto and in Europe, see Ceballos as a quality addition to their midfield.
Meanwhile, the prospect of playing in a competitive league like Serie A and joining a club with ambitious aspirations might tempt Ceballos, who is weighing his options ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.
With multiple teams pursuing him, Ceballos, who is currently out with an injury, faces a difficult decision.
As the winter transfer market approaches, his future appears increasingly distant from Real Madrid, opening the door for a new challenge – whether that be a return to Betis or a move to a European giant like AC Milan.
