AC Milan have been forced to change their transfer plans and target Alvaro Morata (31) as it transpired their priority target to replace the departing Olivier Giroud, Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee (23), won’t join Paulo Fonseca’s side. The Netherlands international is reportedly one step away from joining Premier League club Manchester United. Sports Zone understands that the Red Devils have hijacked Zirkzee’s move to AC Milan by doubling his agent’s commission. The Serie A club’s senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly refused to do so.
With Joshua Zirkzee now heading for Old Trafford, AC Milan find themselves dipping into the centre-forwards market again. The French outlet adds that the Rossoneri are now pursuing a deal for Atlético de Madrid and Spain international striker Alvaro Morata (31). The 31-year-old centre-forward is expected to leave the Spanish capital with several clubs expressing their interest, including Juventus, Roma, Al-Qadsiah and now AC Milan.
