According to Ignazio Genuardi AC Milan are hoping to make a move this week for PSG centre-back Abdou Diallo (26) but will need to navigate issues over the player’s salary as well as transfer fee.

It was reported yesterday that Diallo was on West Ham’s shortlist along with teammate Thilo Kehrer. Both are on PSG’s list of “undesirables” drawn up at the start of the window as they look to streamline the squad ahead of Christophe Galtier’s first season in charge.

The four-time Ligue 1 winner with PSG and Monaco only made 12 appearances last season under Mauricio Pochettinho but is however a versatile defender with European experience, having played for AS Monaco, Mainz, and Dortmund as well as in the French capital with PSG.

A winner of the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, Diallo was on the bench during Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-0 win over Clermont on the opening day of Ligue 1.
