AC Milan are keeping tabs on Galatasaray forward Nicolo Zaniolo as they plan to bring him back to Serie A this summer.

Zaniolo left AS Roma for the Turkish giants in February in the worst possible way after falling out with the Capital giants.

The Italian forward lost the trust of manager Jose Mourinho, fellow teammates and fans, leaving him devastated.

However, Zaniolo put those woes behind him and got off to a flying start to life in Super Lig, scoring two goals in three games.

The 23-year-old is contracted to Galatasaray until 2027, but he recently gave no guarantees over his long-term future in Turkey.

Milan and Juventus are monitoring his situation and could try to sign him in the summer.

As reported by Calciomercato, Rossoneri director Paolo Maldini contacted Zaniolo before his departure to Turkey that they would make another attempt to sign him in the summer.

Milan were tipped as the potential destination for the Italian forward in January, while the player was also keen on moving to San Siro.

However, Rosonneri eventually pulled out of the race after failing to match Roma’s valuation.

Milan are looking to have another crack at Zaniolo, who has a release clause worth €35 million in his contract that will drop to €30m in the summer.

They will be looking for attacking reinforcements this summer if Brahim Diaz returns to Real Madrid.

Diaz’s loan spell expires this summer and Milan want him to stay, but Madrid are keen on exercising his buy-back clause.
