AC Milan and Inter are still weighing up the possibility of making a move for Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi who is available this summer, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, there are multiple teams who view the Italian defender as a good option for more depth in defence but are not actively trying to sign him right now.

It is well-known that he is destined to leave the capital this summer but his destination is still not known. Inter and AC Milan appear to be trying to sign other targets first before they turn to the 34-year-old player.

The one team that are interested and view him as a first-team starter is Monza. They have already signed Andrea Ranocchia which means that they would have a centre-back pairing with a combined age of 67 if they were to play together.
