AC Milan have won just once in their last eight games in all competitions and now find themselves in seventh place in Serie A with four games to play.
Now three points behind Atalanta for the fourth-placed Champions League place, the Italian side received some more bad news.
On Monday, the Milan medical team revealed that right-back Andrea Conti will likely miss time with a shoulder injury.
“We can confirm that AC Milan defender Andrea Conti has suffered an injury to his left shoulder following a collision during the Torino v Milan game on Sunday, the 28 April,” the statement reads.
“The player underwent radiological exams which have excluded any fractures but confirmed a first-degree sprain to the acromioclavicular joint.
“Conti will undergo further examinations in the coming hours.”
Milan will finish the season with games against Bologna, Fiorentina, Frosinone, and SPAL.
