AC Milan closing on deal for a player long linked with Barcelona | OneFootball

Italian heavyweights AC Milan are inching towards a deal for Almería star Marc Pubill.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who has late this week provided an insight into the situation.

Pubill, for his part, is a 22-year-old defender, who generally operates at right-back.

A regular for Spain at youth level, the stopper has long been held in high regard amongst clubs across his home country.

La Liga champions Barcelona, for one, have been credited with an interest in Pubill on a number of occasions in the past.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then the youngster appears to be inching towards a move to Serie A.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘AC Milan are set to discuss terms with Almeria and Marc Pubill’s camp over potential transfer for the Spanish right-back. Wolves want Pubill, ready to close deal… but Marc keeps waiting for AC Milan. Decision up to Milan after positive initial medical check done today.’
