Sheffield Wednesday have today released details of the early bird ticket scheme for supporters.
The Owls are on a good run in the league, but they fell to a heavy 3-0 defeat at home to Hartlepool in the EFL Trophy last night at Hillsborough.
Whilst the focus is on promotion now, the club are looking ahead, as they revealed that fans are able to purchase a season ticket for next week from next week.
However, it’s fair to say aspects of the deal did not go down well at all with the support.
Firstly, they have been given very short notice for what is a lot of money for many on the terraces in the build-up to Christmas. Plus, the club have incredibly confirmed that the prices will rise on a week-by-week basis this month if you don’t buy one straight away.
This prompted some fears among the fan base that the club are desperate for cash, whilst others just couldn’t understand the news.
