Sergio Conceicao will be without three players for tonight’s game against Genoa, the most notable of whom is Tammy Abraham.
During the press conference on the eve of Genoa-Milan, Conceicao announced the last-minute withdrawal of three players due to muscle problems, which gives him some reduced options in view of the game at the Marassi.
“This continuity and consistency that we must have in the team with the new system, we work on this day after day: defensively, offensively, in terms of balance. The players are starting to understand better what we want in the dynamics of the team,” he said.
“Then there are the setbacks, maybe something like what happened with Jovic in Venice could arrive tomorrow. My feeling is that everyone is important, I count on everyone.
“They are prepared to play, I trust everyone. Jovic is better, he did three training sessions with us. Abraham stopped due to a physical problem: him, Bondo and Sottil.”
As Calciomercato.com report, this generated some apprehension in view of the Coppa Italia final on May 14 against Bologna in Rome, particularly regarding Abraham’s physical condition.
The English striker has suffered a strain to the rectus femoris of his right thigh. The player will be re-evaluated in the next 24 hours and is at risk for the key match of this final part of the season.
For Warren Bondo it is a trauma to the right ankle while for Riccardo Sottil the diagnosis is a resentment to the right external obturator muscle.
