Tammy Abraham has become the latest to suggest Rafael Leao doesn’t know how good he is, while insisting AC Milan can get a top eight finish.

The game started as Paulo Fonseca probably would have asked for as Christian Pulisic gave Milan the lead after some nice work from Tammy Abraham, but Slovan didn’t make things easy as Tigran Barseghyan equalised.

The second half saw Rafael Leao get things back on track with a lovely finish to make it 2-1 and then Tammy Abraham added a third. Things are never simple with the Rossoneri though, and Slovan got themselves a goal back a minute away from the end of normal time.

Nonetheless, the end result was a 3-2 victory and three points, which are very useful in terms of pushing the team towards a top eight spot, which must be the target given the games to come.

Abraham spoke to both Sky and Milan TV at the end of the game to assess a rollercoaster encounter, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

How did the game go?

“I’m happy for my team, I thought I should be the MVP! I’m joking. Every time I’m on the pitch I want to help, today I succeeded.”

Are you aiming for the top eight?

“Of course, we want to do well in this competition. We lost the first two and now we are on a streak. We want to do our best and try to go as far as possible.”

What kind of player is Leao?

“Very important for us, I don’t think he knows how good he is. He can win games by himself, when he’s on the right day he’s unstoppable.”

Milan were made to sweat for the win…

“We knew it wouldn’t be an easy match, also because in the Champions League it’s never easy to play away. I’m happy with the victory, the goal and the assists.

“It is very important for me and my teammates to score, I am a guy for whom it is very important to help the team, whether it is scoring or providing assists.

“We did not start the Champions League very well, but now we are on a positive streak of three games. We want to go far in this competition.”
