Saturday’s abandoned Copa del Rey clash between fierce rivals Real Betis and Sevilla will be finished behind closed doors on Sunday.

The match was suspended just before half-time on Saturday night with the score 1-1 after an object thrown from the stands struck Sevilla player Joan Jordán in the head.

The incident took place immediately after Nabil Fekir had scored a stunning equaliser for Betis straight from a corner.

Papu Gómez had given Sevilla the lead with a fine 20-yard strike on 35 minutes.

Early on Sunday morning, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed that the game will resume at the Benito Villamarín stadium behind closed doors at 4pm on Sunday.
