Manchester United won their ninth straight game as they came from behind to defeat Manchester City on Saturday evening.
City took the lead in the 60th minute at Old Trafford through Jack Grealish.
But two goals in four minutes from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford ensured United ran out 2-1 victors.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s time at United looked numbered at the start of the season.
The 25-year-old was out of favour under Erik ten Hag and had only played five minutes of football going into the mid-season break.
But he has been given his chance in the past month and he has grasped his opportunity with both hands.
Wan-Bissaka has put in a string of superb performances in the past few weeks.
He was named in the starting lineup once again against City and was outstanding in his side’s win.
Wan-Bissaka’s best moment in the match came in the 67th minute when he beat a number of players in a magical run.
The right-back took the ball past Jack Grealish before laying the ball off to Casemiro.
The ball bounced back to Wan-Bissaka and he did not panic at all under pressure.
The Englishman nipped the ball past Bernardo Silva, sent Rodri flying and easily evaded the challenge of Joao Cancelo before laying the ball off to Christian Eriksen. Watch the impressive moment below…
Ten Hag named Wan-Bissaka when praising his players after the victory vs Man City.
He said, per Manchester United’s official website: “It was more of a team performance. I’ve seen a lot of brilliant players on my side today. I mention Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw.
“I have to mention Fred. I definitely have to mention Bruno, he was really brilliant. And what do you think about Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia? I think all my players were brilliant.”
United are next in action against Crystal Palace but Ten Hag is refusing to get carried away.
“We go game by game. We think about Crystal Palace and the next game.
“We have to go celebrate for 24 hours and then we go to Palace and we have to prepare, the team has to prepare themselves and get the energy and the right focus. It is all about that. We have to train. I have to prepare the team for the next battle.”
