Speaking at his unveiling to the press as a Nice player, Aaron Ramsey discussed his first impressions and his thoughts on making the move across the Alps after a difficult few years at Juventus. The former Arsenal is also looking ahead to the World Cup with Wales, but first wants to set his mind on helping Les Aiglons kick off the campaign well.

“I’m really happy to be here and to be a part of the project. I’m really excited to be arriving in this young and talented team. I’m feeling really good. I trained this week and met a fantastic coaching staff.”

“My experience at Juventus brought me out of my comfort zone. I stayed for a long time at Arsenal. Now I have a new opportunity and I can’t wait to start this new adventure. The World Cup is obviously very important but I want to think about the start of the season first and help the team to start off well.”

His new manager Lucien Favre also indicated that the Welshman would be seeing a familiar face at the training ground next week:

“Next week Aaron will be able to meet with Arsène Wenger, who’s supposed to be coming here. They know each other well. He’s a player who can adapt to different positions. He feels football. He’s always optimistic and that’s very positive as well. I hope his injuries are behind him.”
