Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler has moved to provide an insight into his plans for the future.

This of course comes fresh off what proved something of a special night for the young Turk.

Güler was afforded his latest chance to impress off the bench for Real Madrid, late in the club’s La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo on Sunday.

And, safe to say, the 19-year-old went on to take full advantage.

Mere minutes after stepping foot on the Santiago Bernabéu pitch, Güler opened his account in the colours of Real, courtesy of a composed run and finish.

Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his situation in Spain’s capital was put to the midfield starlet himself.

Güler has endured an altogether trying debut campaign in La Liga to date, coming up short time and time again in his battle for game-time amid a star-studded Blancos squad.

And the gifted starlet was not shy in opening up on as much on Sunday night.

During an interview with Real Madrid TV, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, Güler began:

“It was a great game and I congratulate the team for winning 4-0. I thank those who are supporting me because it has been a very difficult season so far. I I hope that better things will come from today.”

From here, though, the Turkish international’s interview took on an altogether more positive feel, with Güler having been keen to confirm both his ‘happiness’ and will to succeed at what he deems to be ‘the best club in the world’:

“It was wonderful to score in this spectacular atmosphere. I am very happy to have scored my first goal and very grateful to all the people who support me. I hope many more come. I will work hard for it.

“I am very happy to be at Real Madrid. It is the best club in the world and, although it is difficult, I think I have the quality and character to overcome it. As I said, I hope better things happen.”
