A sale of Joshua Kimmich in the future is not out of the question

According to Bild, a potential sale of Joshua Kimmich in the future is no longer ruled out at Bayern Munich and depending on their winter transfer activity could become a possibility.

Kimmich’s contract at Bayern expires in 2025 and Bayern intend to strengthen their squad in the winter with midfield being one of the problem areas. If Kimmich is against extending his contract at Bayern, which is very unlikely, then he could be sold in the summer.

The 28-year-old is one of the players at Bayern whose future could be up in the air soon as Leon Goretzka, Alphonso Davies and Serge Gnabry all have contracts expiring in 2025.

It is confirmed that any rumoured interest about Manchester City being interested in Kimmich is not true.

What has become increasingly clear at Bayern in recent weeks is that Kimmich and long-term midfield partner Goretzka can no longer co-exist. The profile of the two players are becoming more similar and this is becoming an issue for Bayern, as seen in their 5-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt.
