Liverpool are interested in Leeds United winger Raphinha, according to journalist Ian Doyle.
Raphinha is having a solid season for Leeds United. The 24-year-old has scored eight goals and registered eight assists in 34 appearances.
Raphinha is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.17 across the 2020-21 campaign.
As quoted by Anfield Watch’s Twitter account, Doyle told the Liverpool Echo: “Raphinha is a player Liverpool like, yes, and there’s every chance that swap deals and part-exchanges could be a bit more prevalent this summer. Just a hunch, though.”
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We would love to see the club sign Raphinha. He has shown this season that he is more than capable of playing in the Premier League.
Also, Raphinha is only 24 years of age. With that being the case, he could play for the club for a number of years.
Liverpool do have an ageing forward line. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are all approaching their 30’s.
Therefore, it is important that Liverpool start looking to the future. Signing Raphinha would be doing exactly that.
