The players well and answered the justified criticism of their pitiful performance in the Glasgow Derby by swatting aside a sorry Hearts side yesterday afternoon.
The Jambos started brightly and adopted the same tactical approach as the Ibrox side deployed a fortnight ago. Celtic to their credit stood firm and showed the class that they were lacking in the derby and had the game wrapped up by half-time.

A big factor in that was the return of Callum McGregor who was a big influence in proceedings as he showed the experience and guile we were missing in his absence a fortnight ago.
The skipper had a big say in the opening goal as he played a superb ball for Daizen Maeda to go one on one with Craig Gordon and he duly obliged by slotting the ball into the net to put us into the lead.
Callum had an all round great performance as he dictated play in the middle of the park as we dominated proceedings. Daizen Maeda kept us his good form by bagging a brace, with Jota also on the scoresheet. Nicolas Kuhn also had a decent game and looks back to his brilliant best.

At the back Maik Nawrocki had another decent game, and Viljami Sinisalo despite being really troubled showed he’s more than a capable stand in for Kasper Schmeichel. It was the perfect reaction to our defeat in the Glasgow Derby as we take yet another step towards four in a row.
