Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are in the form of their lives in the Premier League. Their relentless team spirit in their recent run of games has put them on a cruising seven-game winning streak, dismantling the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham in the process.
The Gunners have scored a whopping 21 goals in their last four games, including a 5-0 win and 4-1 win over West Ham and Newcastle respectively. But what is quite unbelievable is that they only conceded one goal during this run of games.
In their last seven league games, they have scored 31 goals and conceded only three times. They currently sit third in the table and will be looking to continue in this form to have a chance at the title – their major hope of securing silverware this season.
The first step to improving their position in the standings will be finding a way to get three points against Manchester City, who they play at the Etihad after hosting Brentford. Bukayo Saka and Co. have already gotten the better of City with a narrow 1-0 win at the Emirates in the reverse fixture. Pep Guardiola’s side haven’t lost at the Etihad since November 2022. Arteta will need to perform a miracle for his team to get anything better than a draw there.
Arsenal will face Porto next week in the UEFA Champions League, a match where they must overturn a 1-0 deficit to proceed to the quarter-finals of the competition.
