Looking at Manchester City’s squad heading into next season they do appear in need of another right-back. Kyle Walker has been a warrior for the club but does look to be at the back end of his career. The champions could do with support for their captain from last season. Although the Leverkusen full-back is a different type of player to Walker their games could complement each other. As Walker continues to get to the tail end of his career he could benefit from playing less next season and being saved for the bigger games. He has also featured prominently for England this summer at the European Championships. There will no doubt be times when he will need to rested next season. That’s where a player like Jeremie Frimpong could come in.

Given that Frimpong is a lot younger than Walker he could give the England international the rest he needs during the season.
