In the final game of the A-League season, Western United will face Sydney FC at the CommBank Stadium in Sydney. The two sides will compete for the title, with Sydney having won the regular league season, being crowned Premiers at the beginning of April.

Route to the final

The two sides both earned their spot in the final through a mini knockout tournament format. Western United beat Sydney FC in their semi-final clash, however Ante Juric’s side were able to secure their place with a win over Melbourne Victory.

Sydney won out the normal league tournament, having suffered just four defeats throughout the regular domestic season. Western came second, beating Melbourne City by nine points. Suffering just five losses throughout the campaign, Mark Torcaso’s side finished only one point behind Sydney.

Team form

Securing their spot in the Grand Final, Western United have far surpassed expectations for their inaugural season. The side will face tough competition in Sydney FC with the club having featured in nine finals, claiming the title in three.

How to watch the A-League final

The 2023 Liberty A-League Women’s Grand Final will get underway at 4pm AEST (7am BST). Australian audiences will be able to watch on 10 Bold and 10 Play, and Paramount+. The match will be available to view via BT Sport in the UK.
