On their first evening after arriving in Vietnam, SV Werder's women's team took part in an event hosted by the German Business Association. At the rooftop gathering, Werder CEO Klaus Filbry and Clemens Fritz, the club's managing director for sport, both spoke about their first impressions of Vietnam and future opportunities that may arise as a result of the trip.

Framed the sunny Hanoi skyline, a panel discussion took place involving Filbry, Fritz and Nguyễn Văn Phú from the Vietnam Football Federation, as well as Tô Nam Phương, the executive vice-president of broadcaster FPT Play, which will also be showing the friendly between the Werder women and the Vietnam women's national team on Friday (19:00 local time).
Filbry spoke highly of the delegation's first impressions of Vietnam, especially after having taken part in a guided tour of Hanoi earlier in the day. He added that, "We decided several years ago to place our focus on Vietnam. We're extremely proud to be able to represent German football here in Asia. It's a great show of appreciation for what our Werder women have achieved."

Fritz then spoke about the development of the club's women's team and touched on the importance of the trip, "It's important for us to be here. Partnerships like this result in win-win scenarios," he said.
Văn Phú also touched on the importance of partnerships, saying: "Football is very popular in Vietnam, including women's football. It's great opportunity for women's football in Vietnam to develop further, which is why we want to continue to deepen our exchange."
FPT Play are an important player when it comes to improving the visibility of women's football, with the broadcaster having secured the rights to women's national team games in Vietnam. "Every game between an international club side and the women's national team is extremely important for their development," said Phương.
