➤ This is the second time in the era of three points for a win that Milan have picked up at least 20 points during their first eight Serie A matches. The previous campaign was in 2003-04 which ended in the Rossoneri winning the Scudetto.

➤ Milan’s last Serie A win against Napoli at the San Paolo dates back to October 2010, secured thanks to goals from Robinho and Ibrahimović.

Milan haven’t scored three goals away at Napoli in Serie A since November 1992 (1-5).

➤ Ibrahimović has scored 10 goals in the opening eight Serie A matches this season. Only two other Milan players have achieved such a feat in the past: van Basten with 12 in 1992-93 and Nordahl with 10 in 1950-51.

➤ In terms of goals scored in the top five European leagues, Ibrahimović has now hit double figures for the 14th time in his career, eight of which have been in Serie A.

➤ The Rossoneri No.11 scored in each of his first six Serie A appearances this season. In the era of three points for a win, only three other players have achieved this: Batistuta in 1994-95, Vieri in 2002-03 and Piątek in 2018-19.

➤ Ibra is now the oldest player to have scored at least ten goals during the opening eight matches of the Serie A season. The previous record-holder was Silvio Piola in 1942-43, then aged 29.

➤ Since the start of last season (2019-20), only two defenders have registered at least five goals and five assists in Serie A: Gosens and Hernández. Interestingly, three of Theo’s five Serie A assists have been for Ibrahimović.

➤ Rebić’s last Serie A assist dates back to July against Sampdoria, when he also set up Ibra.
