‘A deserved victory’: Dortmund coach Edin Terzic happy to take lead to Paris | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic spoke of a “deserved victory” following his side’s 1-0 victory over Luis Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain at Signal Iduna park on Wednesday evening.

Striker Niclas Fullkrug grabbed the only goal of the game in the first half, which Dortmund largely dominated amid a tepid PSG performance and, whilst the Parisians managed to come back into the game in the second half, the Germans will take a lead to defend in Paris next week, a lead that most observers agreed was necessary if they were to have any chance of progressing to the final in London on June 1st.

History in not on Dortmund’s side, with PSG having overturned a 2-1 deficit at the Parc des Princes in the round of 16 second leg back in 2020, on their way to the final which they eventually lost to Dortmund’s rivals Bayern Munich.
