Chelsea are looking to offload Hakim Ziyech in the January transfer window and AC Milan remain interested in signing him, a report claims.
According to a report from 90min, Chelsea are happy to let both Ziyech and midfielder Denis Zakaria leave when the transfer window reopens. The Morocco international did not get much playing time under the previous head coach Thomas Tuchel and was hoping that Graham Potter’s arrival would bring a change in the hierarchies.
However, the report states that sources have confirmed to them that Ziyech is once again free to leave the club in January with both Milan and Ajax interested in pursuing a deal as they were during the summer.
Chelsea ‘are prepared to allow Ziyech to leave on loan’ – perhaps for 18 months and therefore until summer 2024 – but their owner Todd Boehly would rather sell him permanently to raise cash, free up space in the squad and also get rid of his wages.
It seems Christopher Nkunku of RB Leipzig will arrive to bolster the attack, while 90min state that Chelsea have also asked Leipzig about Benjamin Sesko, who will join from Red Bull Salzburg next summer.
