Celtic could be heading towards a full rebuild this summer as they look to get revenge on Rangers for spoiling what could have been their 10th Scottish Premiership title win in a row.

Make no mistake about it though, the green half of Glasgow will no doubt come back stronger as a new manager and a new sporting director coming in soon to try and guide them back to the top of Scotland.

With the transfer window fast approaching, let’s look at nine deals – both in and out of Celtic Park – which were rumoured in January that could be revisited this summer.

It seems pretty much a given that Edouard won’t be at Celtic next season as he has just a year left on his contract.

The team that keeps cropping up as a potential destination is Leicester City, which would mean a reunion with Brendan Rodgers and it does seem realistic to think that the Frenchman ends up at the King Power Stadium.

Ajer has been a long-term target for Milan if you believe reports, and those resurfaced in January and there were rumours that Diego Laxalt could be included in any deal.

Since then, Ajer has been linked to the Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Norwich City, but the Italian giants’ interest may resurface in the summer.

Celtic thought they had the signature of Ben Davies signed and sealed to arrive this coming summer, but Liverpool swooped at the last minute to take the Preston North End defender to Anfield.

Davies though hasn’t played a single minute and with Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk coming back to fitness next season there may be no need for him at Liverpool – Celtic could reignite their interest to bring the centre-back north of the border.

After losing out on Davies, Tanganga was linked on a loan deal from Tottenham until the end of the season.

Things failed to materialise though but depending on who the Spurs manager is next season will depend on if Tanganga can go out on loan.

He’s made just four Premier League appearances this season and he must surely want first-team football now at the age of 22.

It looked as though Benkovic was set to return to Celtic in January from Leicester after spending the first half of the season at Cardiff.

But a move to the Foxes’ Belgian feeder club OH Leuven happened instead – he’s played just once for them though and a return to Celtic could revitalise Benkovic’s career.

Randall could potentially be one for the future for Celtic if they revitalise their interest in him.

They were linked with a move for the Exeter City winger, who scored six goals in the first half of the season in League Two, but he hasn’t played since March due to a hamstring injury.

You’d imagine he’s destined for bigger things than the Grecians though and he could represent a cheap punt for Celtic.

A Celtic fan from his younger days, Ireland international McCarthy looks likely to move to the club this summer after being linked in January.

He could be the perfect Scott Brown replacement and having made just 13 Premier League appearances this season, he needs a fresh start at the age of 30.

A Scotland youth international, Joseph gained a lot of attention earlier in the season after scoring a hat-trick for Wigan against Burton Albion and it saw the vultures circle.

Celtic apparently made contact with the Latics in January but they were unwilling to sell, but with his contract up this summer, Joseph will be available for a cut-price bosman fee and is expected to leave according to the Telegraph –  Celtic Park is a realistic destination but they won’t be the only suitors.

Dembele is a player who will have lots of admirers this summer after the season he’s had in League One for Peterborough, with Celtic one of a number of clubs linked in January when he handed in a transfer request.

Of course if Dembele was to be a target this summer then he could join his younger brother Karamoko at Celtic Park – that would be some story if both were to fit into the same line-up next season.
