Three Chelsea players have made a team of the week this week for a stats-based website, with one of them getting an 8.5 rating.

The new comes after Chelsea beat Premier League winners Liverpool 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon in what was a fantastic overall performance by The Blues.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now looking at move for 6ft 4in France Olympic Team international defender!!

Cole Palmer was back in fine form for Chelsea and is one of the reasons that they put in such a good performance, with the stats proving this as well.

Palmer was also involved in Chelsea’s first goal of the game in the opening minutes, as well as some good work by Romeo Lavia and Pedro Neto to setup Enzo Fernandez to provide a lovely finish to get things going.

Blues players stepped up

Individually, Chelsea were fantastic, but also as a team they were very good. They played in a different way where they allowed Liverpool to have control of possession and they soaked it up and hit them on the counter attack.

Chelsea’s first goal was some really neat play, passing and moving the ball fast and direct to get up the field as soon as possible; it was very refreshing.

Palmer, Fernandez, and Caicedo make TOTW

As you can see above, Cole Palmer was scored an 8.5 rating by stats-based website Sofascore, and he was joined in the team of the week by Blues team mates Enzo Fernandez, who scored an 8, and Moises Caicedo, who scored a 7.8.

They are joined by some other top performers from the weekend in what looks like it would be a very strong team on paper if it came up against another side, with the likes of Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze, and Alejandro Garnacho all in the side too with good ratings.
