Ben Browning·13 August 2024
The 13th of August marks eight years to the day since Pep Guardiola took charge of his first competitive game for Manchester City.
Arriving from Bayern Munich, the Spaniard faced David Moyes' Sunderland on the opening day of the 2016/17 season, but needed a late own goal to claim three points at the first attempt.
Here is a throwback to when the Guardiola era began...
Since then, he has required no such luck, with his side lifting six Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups and a Champions League trophy in his stint at the club.
Though out of contract in 2025, Guardiola would dearly love to add to his collection in the coming months.
