£75m Mason Mount can put Chelsea rivals in the shade if he continues to develop

Mason Mount is now worth £75m according to Transfermarkt. It’s a totally arbitrary value of course, and to actually buy him you might need to offer Chelsea three times that. But it gives you an idea of his value compared to other players, according to their valuation.

Only Romelu Lukaku is worth more in the Chelsea squad, and that’s only because he made a monster money move this summer, and is priced accordingly.

Mount has 5 years on Lukaku, and while he doesn’t have the pedigree, he has plenty of other tools, and the ability to increase that valuation even further.

It’s impressive enough to find him with a bigger number attached to him than Kai Havertz has, given how many Bundesliga goals, assists and appearances the German has.

The important thing for Chelsea is that they have all three on their books now, potentially forming an attacking trident for the ages.
