Manchester United have made many bad transfer decisions over the years, but offloading Jadon Sancho has turned out to be a shrewd move.

Sancho was allowed to move to Chelsea last summer on loan with an obligation to buy.

If Chelsea finish among the first 14 position in Premier League table, United will pocket a solid £20 million transfer fee.

The fee could rise up to £25m based on his performances.

Marcus Rashford recently joined Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season.

Rashford posted a picture on Instagram after making his debut in their 2-1 FA Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Among the replies to the post was Jadon Sancho who commented: “Freedom”. He also used praying hands and raised hands emojis.

Sancho should focus on his poor displays

Once hailed as a generational talent, his dramatic fall from grace has been nothing short of staggering.

The Red Devils signed him from Borussia Dortmund after splashing £73m in 2021.

The England international spent the second half of last season on loan at Dortmund after failing to impress with his showings at Old Trafford.

He struggled at Dortmund too and was eventually offloaded to Chelsea.

While some believe he is thriving at Chelsea, the reality tells a different story.

In 22 appearances for Chelsea, he has scored just two goals and provided six assists.

His last goal came in the first week of December.

Sancho’s first goal came against Southampton, who are languishing at the bottom of the league.

His second strike was against Tottenham Hotspur, a team one place below United in 14th—hardly the kind of opposition to spark a resurgence.

His goal tally is the same as Lisandro Martinez, a defender who has struggled with form for much of the season.

With his recent comment on Rashford’s social media post, Sancho has risked stirring anger among United supporters.

We believe he should focus on reviving his career, rather than taking shots at the club that made him one of their highest earners while he was on their payroll.
