Blackburn Rovers would apparently ‘jump’ at the chance to sign Harvey Elliott on loan again for next season but they face a wait to see what the player and Liverpool will decide is best for his progression in terms of next year.
The attacker hit seven goals last season for Blackburn on loan in the Championship with him looking well at home in the second tier and, certainly, well at home at Ewood Park.
Indeed, according to the Lancashire Telegraph, Rovers would jump at the chance to sign him again, but it remains to be seen if that is going to happen.
Indeed, their report suggests that Elliott is focused on impressing in pre-season and pushing for a first-team role next year at Liverpool, before thinking about a move away.
Blackburn, Watford and Brentford will all have to wait and see if he is going to become available for a loan this summer, then.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Elliott’s still a very young talent and it speaks volumes that he is potentially going to be involved more with the Reds’ first-team next year.
Clearly, the club is going to assess him in pre-season and then make a call over potentially letting him leave on loan or keeping him around.
Clubs that are keen will have to play a waiting game, then.
