Along with Pau Victor, Dani Olmo was the only addition that FC Barcelona made to their first team in the last summer transfer window. The La Masia-trained forward made an instant impact with Hansi Flick’s team.

Olmo has already scored three goals in his three La Liga appearances but has been unable to make his debut with Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League because of the injury to the femoral biceps of his right thigh that he suffered in the match against Girona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, since that injury was confirmed, the Spaniard has been working with the intention of returning for Barcelona in time for the difficult last 10 days of October.

In these ten days, Barcelona are set to face some very difficult opponents, including Sevilla, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, while these matches will be followed by a derby against Espanyol.

Olmo is aiming to return for the match against Bayern Munich, a club that was also interested in signing him during his time at Dinamo Zagreb.

For now, he is working with Raúl Martínez, a physiotherapist he knows from the Spanish national team. Additionally, trainer Julio Tous is helping him rebuild his strength, as the €60m-rated midfielder missed out on working extensively with them during pre-season. He is currently undergoing three training sessions daily, combining physio with his rehabilitation work.

He is already able to wear football boots and feels good about his condition. However, Barcelona will take no risks with him, and the upcoming international break will provide additional time for him to regain full fitness before the team faces a challenging set of fixtures.

From his current recovery trajectory, it seems like he will be available for Flick for the Sevilla game, and can get some minutes in this match to gain more sharpness ahead of Bayern and Real Madrid games.
