56 is clearly and definitively gone for Rangers as Farcical Phil Clement’s Feeble side fell seven points behind in the league with two fixtures to go.

Another horrible Clement lineup defied itself with maybe not the worst first 30 minutes we’ve ever seen at Parkhead from our team, but two goals down to horrific defending before striker Cyriel Dessers salvaged one back then John Lundstram’s red card condemned the visitors categorically.

Then Clement condemned them further with a Pedro-esque substitution of taking off John Souttar (no one knows if he was injured or not), replacing with Dujon Sterling and replacing him with Ross McCausland.

Instead of putting Sterling in Lunny’s place, he put him in defence, removing Souttar (not the hapless Davies) and left midfield exposed with just the abysmal Diomande in there, while the wet McCausland had his usual non-impact.

No, this match proved without a doubt Philippe Clement doesn’t have a literal clue what he is doing, and has descended very rapidly into post-Sevilla Gio territory, into post-Malmo Stevie territory, into post-summer Beale territory and very much into Pedro territory with a bonkers starting XI and even whackier substitutions.

He isn’t the right manager for Rangers, he talks utter mince, and he sticks with shocking players who are miles off the pace.

The real stinker? He fluked his way (it was luck, let’s face it) to overturning Celtic’s lead, giving us real hope, before the real him and his squad kicked in and it all crumpled horribly. It’s the hope that kills you.

Since and including Motherwell, his Rangers record is abysmal: 12 matches, 5 wins, 4 losses, 3 draws.

That’s a shocker of a record for a Rangers manager, and overall his record v Celtic is up there with the Warburtons, Pedros and pre-55 Gerrards. Bear in mind he spent a theoretically £44M in January, signing 3 players on loan; Silva, and his preposterous £35M tag, and the loans to buy of £4.5M each in Cortes and Diomande. So it’s not like he didn’t bring anything in in January.

Right man going forward?

Don’t make us laugh.

The players may be mince, but they’re being perennially mismanaged by this clown who clearly underestimated Rangers and the rivalry with Celtic.

Yet another fail added to the list.
