Ibrahima Bamba

  1. Age: 20
  2. Club: Vitoria SC

Born in Italy to Ivorian parents and now playing his football in Portugal, it’s fair to say that Ibrahima Bamba hasn’t taken a conventional route to success.

But the tough-tackling centre back – who can also play in defensive midfield – is already attracting reported interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, with others surely to follow.

Arnau Martínez

  1. Age: 19
  2. Club: Girona

In the modern game, full backs are expected to pass like playmakers, tackle like defensive midfielders and charge up and down the touchline.

Arnau Martínez ticks those boxes and is already one of the best young players in LaLiga, featuring in 23 of Girona’s 26 league fixtures this season.

Roméo Lavia

Age: 19

Club: Southampton

Keeping pace in Premier League football can be challenging for seasoned professionals, however Roméo Lavia has not only kept pace – but thrived.

The teenage midfielder has been a standout performer for relegation-battling Southampton and has likely outgrown them, with big clubs starting to circle for his signature.

Gabri Veiga

Age: 20

Club: Celta Vigo

Spanish clubs often produce the same type of technical midfielder, but Gabri Veiga is breaking the mould with box-to-box energy and end product to match the finesse.

The 20-year-old has already contributed to 12 goals this season (9G, 3A) and despite shining for his boyhood club – won’t be there much longer with a €40m release clause.

Rasmus Højlund

Age: 20

Club: Atalanta B.C

Young striker, blonde hair, scoring loads of goals? Rasmus Højlund has already been compared to Erling Haaland but the Atalanta man is keen to carve his own path.

The 20-year-old has impressed in Serie A this season after arriving from Sturm Graz – scoring seven goals in 22 appearances – and could be on the move again very soon.
