5 wins, 1 defeat: Barcelona star has a clear advantage over his superstar rival at Real Madrid | OneFootball

Following their elimination from the UEFA Champions League, FC Barcelona are set to return to La Liga action as they face Real Madrid in a crucial game that can prove decisive for this league race.

Before that, the two players had faced off in the UCL 2023-24 quarter-finals, and in the first leg of this tie, Yamal once again saw his team emerge victorious over Mbappe’s PSG with a 2-3 scoreline.

The La Masia graduate also won over the French star as they met with their respective national teams in the UEFA EURO 2024 semi-final, in which the Catalan led his side to a 2-1 win with a great goal.

On the other hand, Mbappe’s only win over Lamine Yamal came in the second leg of the UCL 2023-24 semi-final, when his PSG team beat Barcelona 4-1, and eliminated the Catalans from the competition.

Mbappe has better individual statistics

Overall, Yamal’s record against Real Madrid is three wins and three losses in six games, in which he scored two goals and provided two assists.

However, Mbappe’s individual statistics are better, as he has scored eight goals against Barcelona in seven games, in which he got 2 wins, 1 draw, and 4 defeats. Six of these goals came with PSG and two with Real Madrid.

Thus, it will be quite interesting to see which of these players goes on to improve these statistics tonight, and this individual battle makes this El Clasico even more exciting.
