5 Villarreal stars back in training before Atlético clash | OneFootball

A whole host of positive personnel news stemming from the training ground of La Liga outfit Villarreal has been revealed on Wednesday.

This comes amid confirmation that no fewer than five members of the Yellow Submarine’s squad to have been struggling with injury of late have linked back up with the rest of Marcelino’s squad.

The players in question? Raúl Albiol, Juan Foyth, Francis Coquelin, Alfonso Pedraza, and Ramón Terrats.

Of these five, the returns of Pedraza and Terrats come as the most noteworthy, with both fresh off long-term injury problems.

The left-back and midfielder, though, remain some way off full fitness, being ‘gradually reintegrated’ into group work, according to Mundo Deportivo.

And similar can be said for Juan Foyth, who had actually been spotted back in training earlier this month, but has since been subjected to a mix of group and individual work.

All three, as a result, look likely to sit out next Monday, against Atlético Madrid.

On the other hand, expected to be at the disposal of boss Marcelino in Villarreal’s post-international break return to action are veteran stopper Albiol, and all-action midfielder Coquelin.
